For insiders
You really don't have to be top talent to participate in the Budweis Cup - all teams are more than welcome. But it is exciting to know that the organizer SK Dynamo České Budějovice is the former club of Karel Poborský, record international and former player of clubs like Manchester United, Lazio Roma and AC Sparta Prague.. At the end of June, however, all attention will be focused on the youth for a weekend full of international football at two fine sports parks just outside the center. And now since you're in České Budějovice anyway: insiders know that the city center with the famous market square is a special attraction - grab an ice cream or have a drink on the terrace - it's going to be a great weekend!

České Budějovice
Ceske Budejovice (population 100,000) is the capital of the province of South Bohemia. The university town was founded in 1265. The city center is a lovely collection of centuries-old mansions, ornate city palaces, cathedrals and historical monuments. Many of these special buildings are located on Náměstí Přemysla Otakara II, the historic center of Ceske Budejovice, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Special attractions
In addition to the sights, the café bars, restaurants and terraces on Náměstí Přemysla Otakara II, there is a maze of pleasant shopping streets around the square.
Enthusiasts can check out the Budweiser Budvar Visitor Center, home of the original “Bud” beer.
At 6 kilometers from Ceske Budejovice you find maybe the most beautiful castle in the Czech Republic: Hluboká Castle. Surrounded by a large park and ornamental garden, atop the hill is an imposing castle with numerous towers, gates and courtyards that could just be a location for a Hollywood movie.
