Proud of Berlin

Participants in the Dynamo Cup are warmly welcomed to the city. After all, the motto says exactly that: “Europe, our guest at BFC Dynamo”. The location is Sportforum Hohenschönhausen, a large sports complex with a huge range of facilities near the locality of Prenzlauer Berg. Insiders know that this is a great location, as it is just a hop, skip and a jump away from the tourist hot spots in the city centre. The organisers are truly proud of their city: one highlight is that the international competition will be held on turf pitches. There will certainly be a great atmosphere at the sports complex too. Of course, the proud “Berliners” will no doubt encourage the teams to indulge in all that their wonderful city has to offer as well.

Touristic information

Berlin

“Berlin ist toll!” Dynamic, creative, young and tenacious – throw these things in a pot, give it all a stir and you’ve got a heady cocktail which is good indeed. You are travelling to Berlin to play football, take a look at the landmarks and perhaps get acquainted with the shopping paradise that is Potsdamer Platz. Still, the greatest reward to take from your trip to Berlin is the special atmosphere that you feel when you wander the streets. The tournament will do the rest.

Olympiastadion (Olympic Stadium)

The Olympiastadion in Berlin was constructed in 1934 for the 1936 Olympic Games. For the World Cup in 1974, the stadium was renovated and partly covered. In 2006, the stadium was renovated again for the final of the World Cup, and the Champion's League final was played here in 2015. Hertha BSC plays its home games in the Olympiastadion.
