Toeristische trekpleister van Europa
Praag geldt als een van de mooiste steden van Europa en is dan ook een echte internationale toeristische trekpleister. Met een prachtig historisch centrum en talrijke attracties voor jong en oud, oefent de stad een grote aantrekkingskracht uit op buitenlandse bezoekers. Maar Praag is ook een stad waar voetbal leeft met liefst vier clubs, waaronder bekende namen als Sparta Praag en Slavia Praag, die op het hoogste niveau in Tsjechië spelen. De deelnemers aan dit internationaal jeugdvoetbaltoernooi zijn te gast bij een drietal clubs die op hun sportcomplex hun gasten een leuk toernooi bieden.

De Golden City Cup wordt georganiseerd door I.S.C. Sports. Občanské Sdružení Pro Podporu Sportu is de officiële naam van I.S.C Sport. De club is opgericht in 1988. Naast de Golden City Cup organiseert I.S.C. Sports meerdere sportevenementen. Één van de belangrijkste evenementen is de Golden Tour: de grootste zaalvoetbalcompetitie voor bedrijven in Tsjechië. Hieraan doen jaarlijks ruim vijftig bedrijven mee. I.S.C. Sports werkt bij veel projecten samen met de Tsjechische voetbalbond.
Sportfaciliteiten
De strijd om de Golden City Cup wordt gestreden op drie locaties in het zuidwestelijke deel van Praag. Elke locatie beschikt over voldoende kleedruimte en een klein restaurant of buffet. De wedstrijden zijn op kunstgras. Maar spelers moeten ook schoenen mee te brengen waarmee ze op gras uit de voeten kunnen.

Although our teams obviously come for the international competition on the football field, Prague's historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage site that’s not to be missed. There are lots and lots of places to explore. A stroll through the epic centre of Prague and across the famous Charles Bridge is bound to draw a few excited ooohs and aaahs. Up for a bit of shopping? You have to be in the Nové Mesto district for that. You’ll find an amazing range of big chain stores and smaller shops over there. Then pick any one of the many fine terraces in the centre for a well-earned break from the shopping rush.
