Home from home in Schijndel

The Duke's Trophy was first organised in 1984 in the Brabant town of Schijndel, and has since become a big deal by staying small. A cosy tournament in a cosy village, so to speak. Year in, year out, guests are welcomed with open arms and the volunteers from SV Avanti'31 give this annual event their absolute all. The match location of the Duke's Trophy is a wonderful sports location with 5 pitches, a large club house and an incredible swimming pool nearby for a celebratory victory dive.

Once a year, this quiet spot in the countryside becomes altogether louder thanks to Paaspop music festival and the thousands of visitors it receives. Shop-a-holics can really let loose in the various shopping streets, and there are also many cosy restaurants and bars. Don't forget to try the local speciality, the Bossche bol, a large cream profiterole in a chocolate shell.
