La magie du football international.
Chaque année depuis ses débuts en 1994, la Blackpool Cup a toujours réuni un large éventail de participants internationaux, regroupant environ dix nationalités. En plus des participants fixes originaires d’Angleterre, d’Écosse, d’Irlande, du Pays de Galles et de l'Irlande du Nord, cinq autres nationalités venant du continent s’inscrivent chaque année. Le secret? Chaque équipe choisit son propre programme: certaines peuvent s’y rendre pour la compétition internationale, alors que d’autres viennent pour découvrir les attractions de Blackpool, d'autres encore voulant s’imprégner de la magie d’icônes du football, comme Manchester United ou le FC Liverpool. Chacun a ses propres priorités, mais la Blackpool Cup est devenue un véritable classique du football.

Installations sportives
La Blackpool Cup se déroule au parc du célèbre Myerscough College et à l’Uclan Sports Arena à Preston. L'Académie sportive de Myerscough dispose de 7 terrains, de vestiaires, d’une cantine et de nombreux kiosques vendant des snacks. L' Uclan Sports Arena possède 10 terrains et un restaurant :
« the Final Whistle ». Chacun de ces sites se trouve à environ 30 minutes de route de Blackpool.

La Blackpool Cup est organisée par le Myerscough Junior Football Club (MJFC), dirigé par le Myerscough College. Le MJFC regroupe 12 équipes de jeunes.

Pleasure Beach & Sandcastle Waterpark
Pleasure Beach on the Ocean Boulevard in Blackpool is a gigantic ‘amazement park’ with no less than 145 attractions, including 12 rollercoasters. One of the rollercoasters is the biggest and fastest in England. So can you get in? Tournament participants get a discount on the price of entry to Pleasure Beach.
Sandcastle Waterpark is the largest indoor waterpark in England. This tropical pool paradise boasts several swimming pools, a wave pool and thrilling water slides like the Masterblaster and Thunderfalls Waterslide.
