Spectacular from start to finish
The opening ceremony of the 'stad van de Vrede' (city of peace) tournament is at least as spectacular as the competition itself. Among the mountain peaks of the Dolomites, before the enormous clock of peace has struck 100 times, the anthems of the 100 participating teams are played, in accordance with the oath of fair play. The teams then walk in a celebratory parade through the centre of Rovereto, where they are greeted by the city governors - a magical feeling which resonates throughout the matches and especially during the final, when the stands are packed to the rafters. The tournament will be played on 10 pitches at various locations in and around Rovereto. The main stadium is Quercia in Rovereto. The finals on Sunday will also take place in this stadium, which has space for 2000 spectators.

The Torneo Città della Pace is organised by U.S. Rovereto (1918) and the Città della Pace committee. The Città della Pace committee was set up especially for this big international tournament. Several members of the committee have been involved in the organisation of the tournament since 1987. The committee has the full cooperation of the Rovereto local authority.

Rovereto (39,000 inhabitants) is in the valley of the Adige river on the northern side of Lake Garda. The city is connected to Verona (55 kilometres) and Innsbruck (165 kilometres) via the A22. Rovereto is a true mountain city with a castle and an authentic centre with rugged buildings. The Torneo Citta della Pace is held at a number of locations in the city within a radius of a couple of kilometres.
