An international field of participants.
The Niederrhein Trophy takes place at pleasant, green locations near the western bank of the Rhine: in the friendly town of Büderich just outside Düsseldorf. Past editions attracted a broad field of participants with teams from Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark. For the upcoming edition, teams from the Czech Republic are also expected. The participants obviously come for the international competition on the turf, but the lively heart of Düsseldorf with its cosy "Altstadt" and the Rhine promenade is surely an extra good reason to take part in the Niederrhein Trophy.

Thing to do in and around Düsseldorf
Düsseldorf
Düsseldorf (600,000 inhabitants) is famous for its shopping boulevards, museums and vibrant nightlife. The city lies on both banks of the Rhine with the Altstadt (Old Town) on the east side and the modern commercial district on the west side. The Altstadt is known as “die längste Theke der Welt”. The city owes this nickname to the more than 200 cafe bars, restaurants and terraces that can be found in this part of the city.

The Niederrhein Trophy shows why football in Germany is so enjoyable. With three green sports grounds, an international mix of teams and the lively vibe of Düsseldorf, this tournament offers much more than just matches. Want to see more events in Germany?
