This international youth football tournament in Poperinge is all about the football. The sports complex in Poperinge has seven grass pitches and there are at least three matches a day. Organizator
The organizer of this international youth football tournament is K.F.C. Poperinge, one of the oldest football clubs in West-Flanders and is obviously proud of that. In 2008 the club celebrated its hundredth birthday. The Koninklijke Football Club Poperinge has 360 members of whom most of them can be found on the pitch regularly. There are 21 youth teams and two senior teams.

Poperinge is situated in the south-west of Belgium. Just one kilometre from the sports grounds is the town centre. Grote Markt, a centuries-old square, is surrounded by lively pavement cafés. Fancy a quick bite?
Then you should head to the chip shop for tasty Flemish fries. Adjacent to the Grote Markt you will find Ieperstraat, Poperinge's main shopping street – the perfect place to pick up some of that delicious Belgian chocolate.

For fun in the water, head to Poperinge recreational pool. This brand new pool has several pools, whirlpools and a super water slide. The pool is around 5 minutes from the sports park.
Ypres:
15 minutes' drive to the east of Poperinge is the town of Ypres. This town is known during the First World War because of the battle in the trenches between the German and British troops, which lasted several years.
In Ypres you'll find many monuments, graveyards and museums which commemorate the four years of war, from 1914 to 1918.
