An international venue for youth

Participants in the Rheinufer Pokal play football near the German Rhine bank a few kilometres from the historic centre of Strasbourg on the French side of the river. Via the pedestrian bridge, you can walk right to it. But of course you come for the football in Kehl. The Rheinufer Pokal is a joint project of the local clubs Kehler FV and SV Neumuehl. Besides a nice sports park in a friendly, rural environment, the clubs offer their guests, above all, a warm welcome and extensive international competition. Due to its central location, Kehl is easy to reach from several countries and a wide international field of participants is expected with teams from 6-7 countries.

Turistinformation

Kehl

Kehl (population 37,000) is a charming town in south-west Germany. To the west, Kehl is bordered by the Rhine, which forms the natural border with France. On the other side of the Rhine is Strasbourg. The banks of both towns are recreational areas where residents and tourists like to come for a bike ride, walk, picnic or terrace. And the striking pedestrian and cyclist bridge puts you in the centre of Strasbourg or Kehl in no time.

Strasbourg

Strasbourg is the heart of the Elsace and the capital of Europe. The centre of the city boasts glorious old buildings, beautiful little alleyways and many other attractions. The most famous monument is the impressive cathedral. You'll also find La Petite France here: the most well preserved part of the city. You'll be amazed at the old timber frame buildings, which are more than 300 years old. There are often shops and restaurants tuked away in these buildings.
